Anticipation’s Promise

“Promises, Promises.” she cooed, as the point of the dagger caresses her victim’s temple. She took a deep breath, relishing the scent of his terror.  Pushing forward, she felt the metal crunch through his skull. He went limp, and she thought to herself: Maybe next time I’ll use a railroad tie. I’m so excited.
