“How much do you love me?”
“More than you could imagine.”
“Even if I’m a heartless bitch sometimes?”
“I always forgive you.”
“It’s only because I haven’t found the right heart yet.”
“Well, now you have me.”
“You’re right. Your heart should last me a long time.”
“Nothing. Go back to sleep, Mi Corazon.”
The werewolf’s eyes dance greedily over his lover’s form, silhouetted against the window. She hums, washing the dishes, blissfully unaware of his presence. She still believes he is chained in the basement of their home. Those chains did not hold him tonight. She will finally understand what it means to be loved by a werewolf.
The young woman brushes a blonde curl from the doll’s face before placing it in the display case.
“I love you, Dolly,” she says as she pulls the doll’s string.
“I love you,” Dolly replies.
“Goodbye, Dolly,” the woman says as she leaves the darkened store.
Dolly giggles, “You’re never too old for Dolly.”

“This is the part when you tell me you’re kidding.”
“Really? Sorry, I’m unversed in mortal slang.” Death said, taking the hourglass. “Well, let’s go.”
I stood on the deck, relishing the feel of the thin, crisp air, fingering my pocket watch.
“We got rich, Captain. That ship was loaded.” I heard my First Mate say from behind me.
“Good.” I watched clouds sweep beneath us.
“And by the way, this is a mutiny.”
He held the hussy around the waist as his wife opened the front door, bags in hand.
“Are you sure?” She asked, giving him one last look.
“I love her.” He replied flippantly.
“Ok, I understand.” With tears in her eyes she left her home, whispering to herself. “And by the way, I’m pregnant.”
Laughing, he lead Gigi down the hall to a room, locking the door behind them.
Gigi pushed him to the bed, and strapped him to it. The man smiled, and she couldn’t resist.
“I’ve been looking forward to this all night.” Gigi’s voice deepened. “ And by the way, I’m a man.”
